More than 324 million rubles from the federal budget to compensate for the direct costs incurred by the agricultural producers of Buryatia due to the drought in 2015, finally went to the republic. As the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus Daba-Zhalsan Chiripov said today, December 10, these funds will reach the recipients by the end of the month.
In addition, 188 million rubles will be allocated from the republican budget for the maintenance of breeding stock and support for private farms. “We hope that the farmers will use this money to buy mixed fodder, roughage, haylage, and at the same time find funds to purchase seed in order to smoothly enter the sowing campaign in 2016,” the minister noted.
Recall, as Vostok-Teleinform reported earlier, in Buryatia this year, due to drought in 18 rural areas of Buryatia, an emergency mode was introduced. In accordance with the acts submitted by the district administrations, crops of grain, fodder crops, potatoes and vegetables, as well as natural hayfields on an area of 100.7 thousand hectares, or 67% of the spring sowing area, were recognized and written off as affected by the drought. The total amount of damage to the village from the hot summer in Buryatia is 534.7 million rubles.
